Brightpath turns the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework into short, playful daily lessons. Every activity maps to an Early Learning Goal, while the coach adapts to your child's pace and confidence.
What is the EYFS?
The Early Years Foundation Stage is the statutory framework for children from birth to age five in England. It sets standards for learning, development and care, and is used by nurseries, pre-schools and Reception classes. Brightpath focuses on the pre-school (Nursery) and Reception years, helping children reach the Early Learning Goals before they move into Year 1.

The seven areas of learning on Brightpath
Each lesson is designed around one or more of the EYFS areas, with the three prime areas woven throughout.
Physical development
Gross and fine motor skills. Our tap, trace and drag activities are designed for small fingers, with large touch targets and no timers so children can move at their own pace.
Personal, social and emotional development
Self-regulation, managing relationships and building confidence. Bramble the coach celebrates effort, gives three tries before showing an answer, and never rushes a child.
Literacy
Comprehension, word reading and writing. Children match letters, identify sounds, build simple words and hear stories read aloud by the narrator.
Mathematics
Number and numerical patterns. Counting, number recognition, simple shapes, one-more/one-less and early problem-solving through block-style games.
Understanding the world
Past and present, people and communities, the natural world. Science questions introduce animals, plants, seasons, materials and everyday observations.
Expressive arts and design
Creating with materials, imaginative play, music and movement. Activities use colour, sound and shape to keep learning playful and sensory.
From Reception to Year 1
When a child is secure across the Early Learning Goals, Brightpath gradually introduces the lowest difficulty level of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum. This means the move from Reception to Year 1 feels like a natural next step, not a jump.
